Sitting on Queen’s Park Wall
Queen's Park
St. Michael, Barbados
Series: From Bridgetown to Gloria’s Home
(08-10-2006)
Passing Queen’s Park gives you a feeling of freedom. No, I am not talking about freedom from enslavement, just the freedom to get away for a bit in the green.
But, I got to thinking seeing this young lady sitting on the wall (near the exit to the park), how she looks like she was trapped behind freedom. Sometimes, I guess, life can seem like that. Bars can be just about anywhere, if you really got to looking.

I wonder what she's doing all the way up on that wall? How on earth did she get up there?
ReplyDeleteHmmm, interesting, and quite poetic - "Trapped behind freedom."
ReplyDeleteAnn, maybe she is contemplating getting down…LOL
ReplyDeleteJD, can you write a poem on being trapped behind freedom?
LOL! I'll give it a shot. Think I'll use this photo as inspiration. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteCool JD, I am looking forward to reading your poem.
ReplyDeleteDid you view Baxter’s Road: Five Dollar Door post?
