Well, this is the Food of the Gods, better known the Barbadians as a Breadfruit. You have to thank Captain James Cook and Captain William Bligh for bringing this lovely fruit to the West Indies from the Pacific Islands. The Breadfruit was supposed to be a primary food for the black slaves. However, the slaves did not like it much at the time.
Well, that was then. The Breadfruit is king in Barbados and throughout the West Indies. Lord only knows you can prepare the fruit a hundred ways. My favorite is a Roasted Breadfruit.
