Save A Little Love for Me
Bay Street, Bridgetown
St. Michael, Barbados
Series: From Bush Hill to the Old Eye Hospital
(07-27-2007)
It goes without saying that this has to be the most twisted old Chattel House I have ever captured. I would not venture to say someone lives there. But if that is the case, let us all say a prayer.
Apart from that, I think highly of the old wooden house and its solid brick foundation. The flaps above the door and windows are a thing of the past. And even though many of the glass pieces have fallen from the windows and the door, I can still admire the carpentry. That sort of glass cannot be seen even in the modern Chattel Houses. Yup, I have a lot of love for the house.

I bet that this building would have tales to tell. I can see why you like it, it has character.
ReplyDeleteyup. That has to be one of the most twisted ones I've seen too! lol!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of a shop in Mobay that I've been meaning to photograph and post. I'm going to try to get the best angle on it and post it after the weekend...that is if it doesn't fall down by then! LOL.
;-)
Kris and Anne, this is a one of my favorite dilapidated Chattel Houses. I just love it.
