Sparrows are such wonderful small creatures. In Barbados there are so plentiful, and not having any natural predator to contend with they flourish. Their continuous darting and disjunctive flying fascinates me.
In my childhood these lovely creatures have always gotten in the way of my FLY-TRAPS that were set for doves. So naturally, I hated them. But now it is all different. I am completely captivated by the shear beauty of the common Barbadian sparrow.

ReplyDeleteBobby, you are ahead of the game…LOL
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm never quick enough to capture bird pictures. I'm still striving for that perfect hummingbird shot though ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou know what I keep forgetting to ask you? Have you got any photos of those mischievous monkeys found in Barbados?
Well Ann, I have not been able to capture any of the Green Monkeys in their wild environment. But I am sure I will some day.
ReplyDeleteAs for the bird pictures, I usually have to get close by feeding them some food. Since I do not have a 400mm or 500mm zoom lens it is somewhat difficult to get any great shots of significance without alerting the bird.
A proper zoom lens is in the near future.
Oh BIF, each one looks so much like the bird I had an encounter with some years ago! Thank you so much. My heart is happy.
ReplyDeleteThey are very charming little birds/
