This may not be one of the architectural wonders of Barbados but it was once significant in storing tons of sugar before distribution.
In my youth it was a haven for me and other kids. The sweetness of the sugar was too irresistible. After school we would go to the Sugar Bond and collect sugar to mix with our tamarinds. That was a treat back then.
The building is not a sugar storage facility anymore. And I am unsure as to when they closed the door to such activity. The build now belong to CLYDE J. FIELD ENTERPRISES LIMITED.
