A photo community in which you can be seen, be heard, be found. You can promote your own blogs and any other sites you are involved in. For instance, I promote flickr, redbubble and photobox - plus my own personal blog.
A new site just a few months old - looking to have more talented photographers join the supportive, encouraging community.

http://beta.cre8buzz.com/photography/signup_now

JackalAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13857717.post-37273748778357148732007-11-01T13:59:00.000-04:002007-11-01T13:59:00.000-04:00JD, thanks for viewing this post. And I am forever thinking what it would have been like to live in those times.

Ah, so my name has emerged. You can still call me BIF. Well, what is it in a name anyway? Come to think of it, your name is still in hiding.iqpLENShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15521839116477683470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13857717.post-19105165302050916662007-11-01T13:36:00.000-04:002007-11-01T13:36:00.000-04:00I can stop calling you BIF, now that I know your n...I can stop calling you BIF, now that I know your name :)

This poem brings that whole world to life in such a vivid way. I grew up going to modern supermarkets, but I do recall tales from my mummy and grandma about their going to the shop "down the road." And I just love that red door. There's something about it, almost as if that past would spring to life again, once it's opened.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13857717.post-91043566761526713572007-10-30T23:03:00.000-04:002007-10-30T23:03:00.000-04:00The composition of the door is as I took it. I however enhance the color of the door to reveal how it may have looked originally.

Ann thanks for dropping by.iqpLENShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15521839116477683470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13857717.post-44161274172164491722007-10-30T21:10:00.000-04:002007-10-30T21:10:00.000-04:00Even though Jamaica is a bigger island than Barbad...Even though Jamaica is a bigger island than Barbados(and I suspect maybe because we are a bigger island) we still have many of these street corner shops, especially in Montego Bay and the more rural areas.

I have yet to muster the courage to take a snapshot of one of these corner stores though.

This is such a great photo. :) I really love that bright red door. I wonder if they're selling that door for $5.00! :)Ann (MobayDP)https://www.blogger.com/profile/03107580049551982062noreply@blogger.com
